WHAT’S NEW ?

CIMARRON was pleased to be a corporate sponsor for Enbridge’s Ride to Conquer Cancer. This two day, 200 km epic journey was supported by many and raised in excess of $7 million benefiting Alberta Cancer Foundation.

CIMARRON is pleased to announce that Mr. Mike Healy, P.Eng. will be joining CIMARRON effective May 25, 2010 in the role of Director, Pipeline Division, where he will be responsible for all facets of operation of our Pipeline Division. Mike will report to Andy Purves, Executive Vice President, Operations.

CIMARRON has joined an Enbridge led consortium to develop a CO2 slurry pipeline system from Fort McMurray to central Alberta. As proposed, liquefied CO2 would transport waste solids such as coke, sulphur and limestone in slurry form. Once separated the CO2 could be used for enhanced oil recovery and the waste products put to beneficial use.

Larry Lightfoot has been promoted to Vice President Business Development.  Larry’s promotion reflects the importance of business development to CIMARRON, and Larry’s contributions over the past 2+ years in his role as Manager, Business Development.  Larry initially joined CIMARRON in 2002, and led our Facilities Division for 5 years.

Kathy Hamilton, CMA has been promoted to Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Kathy has over 20 years of experience, all within the engineering consulting industry, and has served as our Controller since 2007. Kathy replaces Gary Walters, who retired from CIMARRON.  

PROJECT UPDATES AT CIMARRON…

Although all our clients’ projects are important, CIMARRON is particularly pleased to bring value to the following oil and gas projects:

Husky Sunrise Pipeline
Enbridge Pipelines (Athabasca) is planning to transport Husky Sunrise dilbit production to its Cheecham Terminal. CIMARRON was retained for Front End Engineering services for the pipeline scope.

Dodsland Program
PennWest is proposing a multi-year drilling program for light oil near Dodsland, Saskatchewan. CIMARRON was retained to complete a FEED study for the expansion plans of the system, plus detailed designs for required pipelines and batteries.

Bakken Expansion
Enbridge Pipelines is preparing pipeline and pump additions, plus terminal modifications in the Canadian scope of its Bakken Expansion Project. CIMARRON was retained for Front End Engineering services for the project.

Horizon Integrity Management
Canadian Natural Resources is examining corrosion in the Bitumen Production process. CIMARRON was retained to consult on their existing management process.

Fort Nelson Inlet Compression Upgrade
Spectra Energy Transmission has undertaken a Taurus Titan addition at the Fort Nelson Plant in British Columbia.  CIMARRON was retained to perform engineering and procurement services. Spring 2010 construction is under way.

North Eastern British Columbia Expansion
TransCanada Pipelines has significant expansion plans to transport Groundbirch and Horn River gas production.  CIMARRON was retained to perform FEED, detailed engineering and construction support for several measurement facilities.

Woodland Pipeline
Enbridge Pipelines (Athabasca) has announced the Woodland pipeline to transport dilbit from Kearl Mine to their Cheecham Terminal. CIMARRON was retained for Front End Engineering and Detailed Design services.

Keystone Expansion Pipeline
TransCanada Keystone Limited Partnership has announced a $7 billion Keystone expansion involving an independent pipeline from Alberta to the Gulf Coast of Texas to transport 500,000 barrels per day starting in 2012. CIMARRON has been retained by TransCanada for project management and engineering services to support the project.

Keystone Pipeline
TransCanada Keystone Limited Partnership has undertaken the first $5.2 billion phase of the Keystone oil pipeline that will transport 590,000 barrels of oil sands crude from Alberta to refining markets in the Midwest U.S. by late 2009. CIMARRON was retained by TransCanada for project management and engineering services to support the Canadian section of the Keystone Pipeline.
